Today we launched a new URL format to make linking to files easier.

Old format:
http://www.filefactory.com/file/9def08/

Example of the new format:
http://www.filefactory.com/file/9def08/n/This_is_a_test_file_rtf

Note the addition of the filename at the end of the unique file code. Old URLs will automatically redirect to the new format so there is no need to change your existing links.

The advantage of the new URL format is that when sending links or posting links on the Internet, the inclusion of the filename in the URL makes it easier to identify what the file actually is.
